Our History
After a huge capacity in the fresh and frozen products since 2009, Yonis Ahmed the Co-founder & commercial director of Roots, decided to shift his journey to the food industries field. In short time with willing and sacrifice, decided to analyze and develop the foreign and local markets to find the best opportunities in the food industries field.
Thanks to the fertility of Egyptian sandy soil and to the perfect weather conditions during the whole year ROOTS can follow up the highest international standards to ensure natural, healthy and tasty fruit capable to compete globally.
Quality Assurance
After a deep analysis of the semi-finished and brined products (pickles), especially the quality of Egyptian olives, peppers, artichokes, and dried tomatoes. The founder started this new challenge with their team till Eng. Elbakry Ahmed "Founder & Operation director" joined Roots as a partner and shareholder. They thought to gain the best from the food industries field, which is based on the technical and analytical background studies and experience they gained during their careers in multinational companies.
Vision and Target
Roots Agricultural Investment main target is to achieve and acquire a big market share globally and locally by concept of TRUST. TRUST is the main Target of Roots to encore(reconquest) and improve made in Egypt reputation globally by control the product traceability FROM LAND TO HAND.
FROM LAND TO HAND, is a five-year development plan started in 2024 which allows Roots to enlarge its own farms. Such potential will help a lot to sell Roots Agricultural Investment finished products on the local market shelves. LOCAL MARKET SHELVES is the real challenge of Roots to gain customer taste with an authentic rustic flavor.
Mission
ROOTS is doing its best to maintain high level of HYGIENE, QUALITY and R&D parameters.
- HYGIENE: Inside and around the Production unit. Periodically medical Check-Up for all factory staff. Sterilization, gloves and uniform are must for all the factory staff. Sterilization, gloves for guest visits inside production and storage department.
- QUALITY: ROOTS is very strict and focuses on checking accurately fruit by analyzing and following the field during the year and before cultivar harvesting phase of its resources, to assure healthy, safety, specs, and quality of the product. Each resource is coded to recognize each lot from the moment of receiving the fresh product in the factory, processing, and storage until delivery to the client.
- R&D: ROOTS is investing a lot in researches and development by checking the globally instruction updates in the field to be always innovative and on level.
Operations Overview
Roots Agricultural Investment, do usually, it's best to process fruits through latest and most controlled traditional techniques. ROOTS usually cares about processing products with reliable machinery in the field. Thanks to founder's capabilities, their good reputation, Joint-ventures and very solid connection inside Egypt and abroad with different types of clients, Roots can produce different type of products in large quantities with very high-quality control.
ROOTS is capable to produce from 12 Ton up to 17 Ton for whole natural olives, and from 10 Ton up to 12 Ton for pitted olives per shift.
Roots Agricultural Investment goal is to satisfy both international and local markets by providing HYGIENE and excellent quality products.
